The Innocents is one of the best films of the gothic genre. Oddly it was not a hit at the box office in 1961. Since then it has become popular with critics and filmmakers and ranks 18 on the list of 100 Greatest British Films. It still gives me shivers ! One of Jack Clayton's best, and you can't go wrong with Deborah Kerr !
